Aetiket eCard was first created as a means to
send a meaningful Christmas greeting to my Aetiket
Label Printer customers around the world. As many
of my customers also chose to use the Aetiket eCard
to send the same greeting to their families,
friends, and colleagues, I decided to make the
eCard available as a free service to my customers,
and also to anyone who wanted to send a thank you
or special message to a friend or colleague.

Design
|
Aetiket eCards is a high quality eCard service,
featuring beautiful photographs and illustrations
as well as options for artists, contributors, and
private portfolios for individuals and
organisations.
Yet another eCard service?
Not at all. I have received many virtual cards
from sites around the world, but found that the
majority of them were complicated, had poor layout,
garish colours, cheezy animations, and tinny
sounds. I guess there is a market for those sites,
but I decided that the Aetiket eCard site would
emphasize quality images and messages and provide
the best user experience possible.
Aetiket eCards should be your first place to
come to send a "Thank You", "Happy Birthday", "God
Bless You" message to your friends, colleagues, or
loved ones.
I have chosen a conservative approach to the
images and content of the Aetiket eCards. The
design is simple, attractive, and tasteful, using
traditional content such as Gustave Doré's
engravings of the Bible and Pierre-Joseph
Redouté's flowers. I will also add original
graphics and content as I receive requests from my
customers.

Contributions
|
The Aetiket eCard site can also be your own
eCard site: I encourage my users to contribute
original content. There are three ways of
contributing content to the Aetket eCard site:

Portfolios

Portfolios
If you are an artist or photographer and are
interested in providing me with scans of original
artwork or photographs, suitable for sending as
eCards, I encourage you to consider each of the

Cost
|
Use of the Aetiket eCard site is free.
There is no charge to send or receive Aetiket
eCards, however, if you find this service valuable
and would like to make a $5 donation and support my
site directly, I encourage you to do so through

A setup fee is charged to customers who
establish private portfolios however, to help
defray the costs of establishing and maintaining
private eCard portfolios.

Technology
|
Computers can be fearsome to users not familiar
with the technology, and I have tried to create a
tool that would be straightforward and easy to use.
As such, I have avoided using Java and other flashy
internet technologies which don't perform
consistently with all browsers and platforms. In
keeping with my own design preferences, Aetiket
eCard works with all major browsers, and assumes
little of my customer's computing environment. For
